Historic Lansburgh / Chevalier Gardens - 3325 Shoreline Highway



This two-acre, lush, romantic garden is located at the foot of Mt. Tamalpais in Stinson Beach and borders the Stinson Beach State Park, just steps from the Pacific Ocean. Modeled after Monet's garden in Giverney but in California's coastal, natural habitat, the site is perfect for the couple who wants an outdoor garden setting that inspires the imagination to make the special day their own. We have wonderful referrals to guide you, but you are welcome to choose the vendors and rituals that create and define your personal expression. The luxurious garden is structured into "rooms" with manicured lawns, tall hedges and paths that invite exploration.

These gardens are a private residence and have been owned by the Landsberg-Chevalier family since 1917. In the early to mid 1900's, the gardens were used to grow vegetables for the town, housed a swimming pool that is now a lily pond and a barn with horses. The garden now has metamorphosed into a world-class garden and has been photographed and written about in publications such as Garden Design book and magazine and has been featured on the Home and Garden Channel network.

The grounds can accommodate 120 guests. The property also houses a small dressing cabin and two bathrooms, a barbeque area with electricity and warm water.

Parking is available at the Stinson Beach State parking lot. The parking lot closes at 9:00 p.m. Therefore, weddings must be over and cleaned up by 9:00 p.m.

Amplified music is allowed but must end by 8:00 p.m. Event insurance is required.

The price for full day rental of the event is $3500. This rental fee also includes six 12-foot long rectangular wooden tables and benches and two white tables with 12 white chairs. A non-refundable deposit of $1000 is required to book your wedding.

The Landsberg-Chevalier estate is available for overnight accommodations at an additional cost.
